Her beauty

The warm summer breeze hits my face under the dark star lit sky. Her memories haunt me as years go by. I cannot cry as my tears have rendered dry. My biggest fear was saying goodbye.  I picture her standing infront of my eyes, holding my head close to her bosom. She lifts my head up as she always did as I admire her beauty beyond compare. The brown in her eyes sparkle under the moonlight, her hair  waving with the wind in the night. Her tender hands upon my face, her lips spread wide as the smile I trace so unique and simple. I glance upon the depth of her dimples. Holding her hand I stand up to thank her for being my Ms. Right, my gratitude is shown by just a hug. As she tugs me close to tell me she cares, little did I know this was the last intimate moment we'd share. Now I sit back, with my heart which is perished. I keep close our memories to treasure and cherish. You run by my thoughts everyday, as I stick on to yours in every possible way. Her name on my lips, her soul entwined with mine. The smell of her skin so divine. Like wine i savour the kiss, tis her love I eternally miss. Her hand in mine makes my blood course faster through my veins. As the whisper of 'i love you' leaves only but her heart to gain. With pain now I contemplated my mistakes. I watched you slip away like autumn leaves being raked. I still hold your soul like fish to a sea. I know your saving the last dance for me.

The mistake

The heart is a precious jewel, breaking hers isn't so cool. As you'd stand alone and look like a fool. As you kneel down to pray and ask for forgiveness, with tears streaming down your face. Imagine the tears she cried coz you were never there in that race. A career and money is all you chased. You have what you wanted but she's long gone without a trace. The hand you once held, hee face in yours and her eyes to gaze upon and fall in love. She was like an angel from above.  She swarmed over your soul like a dove. She gave you all she could, but as a withered tree still as you stood. Letting her walk away. Till this day you still regret wishing that you changed, the pain leaves you deranged. All ypu have as comfort is your whiskey and this rhyme. Try all you want you can't turn back the hands of time.  It's a crime as you let things fall apart, you try to make a new start. But you seek her beauty her grace and lips to taste in all the others you find. Now your like a man who's blind and can't find his way back home.  While like a ghost you roam the earth. Without any emotions coz you fear getting hurt.

It's my fault

She was a random stranger who walked past my sight. Her beauty so vivid makes your cold heart beat. With eyes as brown as wood, with hair that waves with the wind like it should. Her smile so valuable that you'd treasure it all your life. Lucky is the man who makes her his wife, with skin so tender she'd glitter like a star under the sun. Her warm arms created for that special one. Her name will remain on your lips as will the taste of hers. She must be an angel for her beauty can only lure. The aroma of her perfume fills your nose, the smell of her skin makes you want to hold her close. You'd listen so carefully to every word she says. To shut her up you'd just kiss her forehead.  She'd close her eyes and smile at that action, her cheeks turn pink as a reaction. In a fraction of seconds she knows she's in love, the funny part is so are you. Spending your life together stuck like glue, that's a tale that would be wished upon to come true. Years go by as your love grows, but your scary obsession towards her drives her away. Her love for you still remains yet it's the space she needs to breathe. Your relationship is slammed to the floor indeed. The need to walk away soon arrives, after all the fights and promises to change. You sit back with a broken heart, while her bags are packed and she gets on her plane. 7 years down the drain, all the laughter all the love. All that remained was his egoistic mentality, his broken heart and name. His possessive and obsessiveness was to blame. She was perfect and all she wanted was his trust. He was young and stupid and the truth about it was a fuss. He couldn't be who she wanted him to be, coz his ego couldn't let him and that was must. Now I stand and stare at my reflection in the mirror with disgust.  Apologies cannot mend the hearts that I've broken, nor turn back the hands of time. My obsessive behavior and posessiveness should be considered a crime. This poetic rhyme is not a myth, nor is fiction created out of the blues. Tis a tale of true love lost. So my mistakes can't be replicated by the few.

She lingers

The troubled souls of the enormous race. The broken hearted live in disgrace.  Desired sins are left in sight to face. As the taste of her lips starts to linger. I feel my skin embracing her fingertips.  Her name on my lips remain everlasting. The love she gave me remains and leaves me fasting in a galore. We both wept as she walked out the door. I shudder to think of all things that I did wrong. I quit listen to the radio coz they always played our favorite song. Happiness fills me to know you are the one I did once love. Desire kills me as you no longer are the one who owns my heart. You gave away the memories while I cherished them close. I walk the earth seeking someone like you as if I'm the Holy Ghost. Making the most of our memories and the moments we shared, we did nothing but hold eachother and into our eyes we stared. I chased away your fears and caught every tear you cried. You danced with my angels and made my demons fear you all the time. Tis but a crime to my soul that I let you go, I wished we could live together and grow old. Now our story has an end. I pray you'd tell your children about the love story we had to put them to sleep. Keeping our names a secret as they slumber with memories to keep. Let them know what is true love as they learn to live. Letting them love as you and me once did.

Soulmate

I enjoy the night sky blissful with the stars that glitter with peace. Yet, my soul still wanders with ease. I tease my heart with memories of ours. It always blossomed like wonderful flowers. The scars remind me of how far I've come. How long it took to survive what I've now become. Her beauty was my drug, her lips my eternal fire. The touch of her hand is now what I desire. It always took my soul higher, as she'd rest her head on my chest after a long day's end. She'd fall asleep so fast like a horse on a bend. I'd watch her slumber with peace and love making certain I don't wake. I'd hearing the rustling of the leaves by the window as the wind makes the tree shake. She frowns at the noise, as I hold her close still admiring her beauty.  Contemplating my worth of such adoration is my questionable duty.  Her presence doused my anger, her hugs kept me warm at night. Her laughter chased away my demons who gave me a fright. Sometimes, the memories is all you can cherish of the ones that you love. When they walk out the door it's too late to realize. Your soulmate exists no more.

His broken reflection

The soul of a man remains broken. The smile on his face is the appreciative token. Woken from his nightmares only to find them real. She walked away with his heart, leaving him without any emotions to feel. He kneels before God, weeping as his maker silent as a lamb. All the pain inside him bottled up and crammed. Many walk by gazing upon this heartless soul. He never needed their pity so cold. The tales he foretold stood everlasting, the experiences he had left his own life prancing in a meadow without and ferns. Tis her love he yearns. He learned from his mistakes, never to trust again. He burnt his soul with desire and sin. He dwells in his guilt and drowns in his shame. The burdens is all he has to his name. The demons and pain lurk like bees to a hive. He tries so hard to merely survive.  Alive is his body yet, death has befallen his spirit and pride. No more tears has he left to cry, like shattered glass his mask soon fades. The repressing memories of each falling day. She lingers within the skin on his body. Her beauty intoxicates him like cashewnut toddy. The horrifying look rendered him speechless as he felt the other one biting the dust. She didn't care for a broken heart to love. All he desired was trust, like a cluster of stars in the night. Spread across the milky-way. His heart was shattered bit by bit and regrets the mistakes he made. If only his soul was not as emotionaless as it seemed. He would become a normal human being. All he carries is the memories of pain, lies, and deception. That's why he can't stand to look at his own reflection.

Woman's Day

A woman is always caring, gentle, loving and shy. There is more to her beauty that meets the eye. She displays her pain from the tears she cries. She breaks down within and the pain she hides. Her hand is always there to hold, her wit and charm, makes you feel bold. She walks by with elegance and grace. You'd always admire that beautiful smile on her face. If she owns your heart, you're a privileged soul. She looks not for money, wealth, or gold. She seekth love, dedication and care. She waits for you to show you'll always be there.  She bears your child and wears your ring, she gives up her family counting the years from which with you her life begins. She sings in the morning while doing her chores. She misses you when you walk out the door on your daily routine.  Her heart is heavy and worried wondering if she is running in your thoughts. You may have fought for a tiny reason.  She'd forgive you no matter how cold the season.  A woman is a blessing and bestowed on this earth, her charm and beauty can never get you hurt. One can admire her beauty and find it their duty to love her till you grow old and grey. To every woman out there Happy women's day.
