Why must all good things come to an end

The whispering willows on a windy summer night. As she clung on to him under the place moonlight. They fight to be strong together, even under the most terrible weather.  The dearest of moments she realizes her joy, while he contemplates how to emancipate his pain. The silence between them drives them insane. You cannot mix thunder and lighting even though they go hand in hand. She was his drug and he her remedy unplanned.  Manned like a ship's falling post. The two lonely souls are strangers at most. From coast to coast they travel never again to cross paths. Even though she belonged in his heart. He carts her memories and she craves a new start. Yet the scars remain and prick like a poisonous dart. You try so hard and find yourself as the enemy. The sorrowful demons lurk within thee, free are your thoughts yet dwelling is the pain. Killed are your emotions leaving your efforts in vain. She is on your mind with each passing thought. Sinking deeper in this whirlpool of love that you are caught.  Not all good things last with time left to spend. Why must all good things come to an end.
