Sometimes forever doesn't last

She wakes up every morning as she feels safe with him by her side. She smiles and can't believe he's in her life. As children they played, and as lovers they lay. With her heart in his chest and beats for her all day. She makes him hold her tight, by just smiling from within. She isn't fond of bearing his kin. She is his sin, and he holds her name to his lips. He touches her face and her skin dwells on his fingertips. He firmly grips her hand as they walk down the street. For everyone to know he loves her as unmeasurable as how the ocean runs deep. He creeps up besides her and admires her beauty, even the pout. She never felt so much love without a shadows of a doubt. He feeds her else she refuses to eat. He straves himself yet, fills his hunger with love when their eyes meet. The taste of her lips is all that he needs, the smell of her skin brings him to his knees. None can fathom such beauty so divine. Her beauty brown hair with a pair of eyes to match something so sublime. Tis but a crime how much he cared. Tis but injustice how their hearts now lay in despair. People often ask what has become of him. She has forgotten and he forgave her for her sins. She replies with anguish and hate, he was never my destiny or fate. Now she bears a child of another. Yet he knows she's a beautiful mother. She tries to be a loyal wife. Yet the habits of old die hard, no matter how hard you fight. He sits and gazed upon the starry sky, he knows she's more beautiful than that, and he said it a million times and didn't lie. She creeps into his thoughts and dwells in his heart. She is but smart and stays happy all her life. She cannot be his as she is someone else's wife. With an open mind and his drunken state makes him know it. He is never the sober poet. Life is at times cruel, and it's hard to draw upon the contents of the past. Sometimes forever doesn't last.
