The mistake

The heart is a precious jewel, breaking hers isn't so cool. As you'd stand alone and look like a fool. As you kneel down to pray and ask for forgiveness, with tears streaming down your face. Imagine the tears she cried coz you were never there in that race. A career and money is all you chased. You have what you wanted but she's long gone without a trace. The hand you once held, hee face in yours and her eyes to gaze upon and fall in love. She was like an angel from above.  She swarmed over your soul like a dove. She gave you all she could, but as a withered tree still as you stood. Letting her walk away. Till this day you still regret wishing that you changed, the pain leaves you deranged. All ypu have as comfort is your whiskey and this rhyme. Try all you want you can't turn back the hands of time.  It's a crime as you let things fall apart, you try to make a new start. But you seek her beauty her grace and lips to taste in all the others you find. Now your like a man who's blind and can't find his way back home.  While like a ghost you roam the earth. Without any emotions coz you fear getting hurt.
