She lingers

The troubled souls of the enormous race. The broken hearted live in disgrace.  Desired sins are left in sight to face. As the taste of her lips starts to linger. I feel my skin embracing her fingertips.  Her name on my lips remain everlasting. The love she gave me remains and leaves me fasting in a galore. We both wept as she walked out the door. I shudder to think of all things that I did wrong. I quit listen to the radio coz they always played our favorite song. Happiness fills me to know you are the one I did once love. Desire kills me as you no longer are the one who owns my heart. You gave away the memories while I cherished them close. I walk the earth seeking someone like you as if I'm the Holy Ghost. Making the most of our memories and the moments we shared, we did nothing but hold eachother and into our eyes we stared. I chased away your fears and caught every tear you cried. You danced with my angels and made my demons fear you all the time. Tis but a crime to my soul that I let you go, I wished we could live together and grow old. Now our story has an end. I pray you'd tell your children about the love story we had to put them to sleep. Keeping our names a secret as they slumber with memories to keep. Let them know what is true love as they learn to live. Letting them love as you and me once did.
